    Careful there, Oliver W. You wouldn’t want to grow up to be a voyeur.

    “Romulians”? I think someone’s Nerd Card has expired.

    ‘If you could see the things I’ve seen … attack ships on fire off the Shores of Orion… C beams, glittering like jewels outside the Tannehauser Gate…and … of course…Edna Mae Fernbugle watching Dick Clark…’

    These days she would be watching “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”. “Bloopers” was PBS in comparison.

    @Bruno Zeigerts

    We could call it Fernbugle Runner. Not sure I’d pay to see it, though.

    His notes are incomplete. I want to know what Edna Mae Fernbugle is wearing.

    “What’s she wearin’ now? Hey, son; you got peanut butter in your ears? I said, what’s she wearin’ NOW?” – Snowman from “Smokey & the Bandit” (maybe not exact, but pretty close.)

    Ladies do all the stuff everyone else does – just behind closed doors, like their mamas taught them.

    No kidding! The only time I’ve ever seen the rings of Saturn through a telescope was at the Lowell Observatory. Even then it was fairly small and colorless . . .

    Oliver was seeing things that only some of the biggest telescopes could see. And parenthetically quoting from “Blade Runner” the movie that came out in 1982.

    He owns the only telescope that can have one of the legs of the tripod balance in the air (panel 1). That really IS one heckuva telescope!!
