Never heard of them. I enjoy this strip when Steve concentrates his wonderful talent on important people. Rappers aren’t important people.

Exactly(what the OPs said)…eventhough “popping tags” was kinda cute…a little vulgar for the subject..but a nice beat.

True talent is dead. Good writers like Elton John, Art Garfunkel , Paul Simon, Billy Joel and countless others are not appreciated. .Now the audiences lost the sense and love for real music. Times change. That’s the reason why these non-talented self called musicians rise to the top.

I’m always open to being introduced to new musicans and/or actors. Thank you, Steve, for a glimpse of a duo I had not heard of before. And, as usual, your artwork Rocks!

    Completely talent-free poseurs.

so instead of griping that I didn’t know who these fellas are, I went and watched Thrift Shop on YouTube and thought it was kind of goofy and funny.
The kid is a little left of where I find my center but I did enjoy the song.
Until I read the strip and the comments I had no inclination to go find out anything about Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis. So thanks to Steve McGarry for helping to enlarge my world view.

    Well, that’s just your opinion… It doesn’t mean it’s true…

You should accept that music, talent, and its popularity evolves over time and that it doesn’t stay the same forever… It’s just fitting in with today’s evolving society and generation…
