    Personally, I suspect that Kimby has figured out saying “first comment”, even when it isn’t, annoys the heck out of some people. So, like younger siblings, Kimby will keep doing so as long as anyone complains about it.

    Dunno…. maybe the Summer sun has bleached Chad’s hair to a reddish hue?
     
    Seriously, I think he’s Chad. My guess is that the weekday strips are colored (coloured?) by a different person who has a list of official colors to use for each character, thus painting Chad’s hair consistently brownish.
     
    The Sunday strips, on the other hand, are probably colored by Lincoln Peirce himself who may not be as strict with the colors because… well he really doesn’t need to be strict, this being his strip and all!
     
    Hopefully LP will come around later and clear everything out for us.
