    The good old days. USA/USSR. Each could destroy the other, but both sane enough to not push the button. Unlike the nutjobs of today who would love to martyr themselves killing a lot of people.

    Amen also means “an expression of concurrence or assent”; so, in that sense of the word, margueritem used the word correctly.

    We, the readers, can tell from the context which meaning applies.
