Bear in mind ladies and gents, this strip originates in Canada. We live on our beer. It’s half our ration of the cereals group in the food pyramid.

German Weissenbier with the starch that settles to the bottom of the bottle – swirl it to put the starch into suspension and thus into the head

And next week wheat will be good for you again! Isn’t that how it usually works?

been trying to cut out wheat. I can’t stand beer so no problem there. Giving up pasta is the hard part.

There are actually very few beers which are wheat free. A person who has celiac, or is gluten intolerant (two such individuals in my close family) have a very limited choice when it comes to beer.

Recipe for beer…. water, hops, barley and yeast. What Betty is reading is that gluten is bad, bad, bad…. especially for some people.
    .
Wheat, barley & rye have gluten.
    .
But there is a very nice gluten free beer from Germany. Now being sold in Canada. And yes. It is good. Not as good as the 9%+ alcohol beer I tasted. But still good. (I love taste testing demos……. the servers are so willing to give you another taste.)
