   It wasn’t Alex’s fault. It was her job, and she didn’t have a choice who she fired. I get why Betty feels betrayed, but I agree with Alex; they need to move on.

    I think Alex just has a very different perspective on life. I also think Betty will be very relieved to be able to put this behind her and go back to being best friends with Alex.

    While I believe in forgiveness I can see why Betty might not want to be best friends again. It would take time before you could trust that person again.

    I don’t see why having to be best friends again is necessary. Moving on means leaving your old friends in the rearview and new friends in the windshield. Working together does not necessarily make friends.
