Seems like Betty would know what “Fifty Shades of Grey” is. She’s not particularly out of touch.

That book is better written than Twilight but not much so. And I can’t believe I wasted my time reading either series. I guess I’m a lightening rod for bad books.

We were at a book signing for Bowl of Heaven (Niven/Benford) and some idiot wanted the authors to give him a synopses. Several people yelled, “Buy the book!”

I can just imagine what Larry wanted to say. I’ve known him for over thirty years, and he’s not kidding when he says that his patience is mythical.

ummm.. I must be having a bad day or something because I don’t quite get it. This is the 2nd comic today like this I don’t get… I do know what 50 shades of grey is….haven’t read it , did read twilight but one bad series is enough..lol
but I still don’t get it… is she asking a question in the 2nd panel? and the 3rd it sounds like she is answering her own question but it has question marks.. yea i don’t get it..

I agree, Rebecca. Somehow not funny, especially since Betty seems to read a lot.

Six and a half weeks redone. Eh.
though it is amusing to see female coworker reactions when they start reading it and get to the “good parts” as we use to say, in the lunch room.

The book has a black background with a loosened tie on the cover, and she thinks it’s about writing? Why didn’t she just read the blurb on the back to realize she was soooo very wrong?
