    To clear any confusion for us Westerners, ‘theatre’ is the term for the operating room in England.

    It’s called a “theatre” because all early operations were conducted with students watching from a gallery above.

    When you’re stuck in bed recovering from an op., you don’t need much food; just enough calories, protein etc to help you mend.
