The Berger and Wyse food cartoons are a diet of neurotic vegetables, omnivorous Godzillas and restaurant parody. This single-panel comic appears weekly in the Guardian (UK), and has been published as an anthology by Absolute Press (an imprint of Bloomsbury). There are some recurring themes and characters, but stylistically this cartoon is free to roam to wherever food plays a part. What do tomatoes think of Andy Warhol? Is it upsetting to fruit that "bananas" means crazy? Can you eat Schrödingers cat food? Someone has to answer these burning questions.

To be sure. That’s how I imagine all clowns to be, always hiding behind their makeup never showing their real selves. Even when I met one out of makeup, before i found out he was a clown, I thought he was creepy.

I hate clowns. NOT funny. Why do some adults think that kids love them?
The first clown I ever saw gave me nightmares.
One of our local hospitals had a clown troupe come in to visit the kids ever Sunday afternoon. The kids were too polite to throw their bedpans at the clowns, but my son who was recovering from serious surgery shrieked when he saw them.
I’ve noticed that clowns think they themselves are a laugh riot.
Clowns are badly dressed mimes.
Getting off the anti-clown soapbox now.
