Tired of "politically correct?" Want an editorial cartoon that is quick to call out the bumblings of U.S. politics and cuts slack to no one? Pulitzer-Prize winner Ben Sargent is paying attention and making Washington have second thoughts about that little thing called the First Amendment.

Clearly, the radical rich don’t want the middle class educated. Less educated people are controlled more easily, don’t compete for better paying jobs, and die earlier. Well played GOP, well played. …but what about China, what if China is more educated than the USA? What then GOP? What then?

@Wabbit
They weren’t thinking Wabbit.
I suppose this could also apply to California. That was how they got their last tax increase propositions, saying they were going for schools, then when you read the text it was “flexible” in it’s distribution.

If we would only spend a million dollars per kid per year they would be smart.

Nothing is uglier than Unions in Schools.
chayasnana said, 4 months ago
Texas does not have unionized teachers. It is illegal for public workers to unionize. And the legislature has been taking money from the schools, and many schools are seriously underfunded.
Stipple said, 4 months ago
The underfunded schools are the ones too stupid to agree with half of any monies going back the the legislator that sponsors the bill.
.
Look around, that is the method that functions.

For you uneducated non Texans, the vast majority of Texas independent school districts are funded by local property taxes.
