    passé in the sense that Willard is gone, never to return. I’m pretty sure Republicans told him to STFU so as not to draw enemy fire on them.

    But the Republicans have not changed their core beliefs, especially in protecting the wealthiest’s interests in return for bribes ,er, campaign contributions.
