Tired of "politically correct?" Want an editorial cartoon that is quick to call out the bumblings of U.S. politics and cuts slack to no one? Pulitzer-Prize winner Ben Sargent is paying attention and making Washington have second thoughts about that little thing called the First Amendment.

Like I have said before;
Voting is like Driving a car-
“R” means to go backwards
“D” means to go forwards!

Interesting that the car turned to the right.
.
I don’t think Ben Sargent meant it this way, it’s more the cultural norm that to the right is forward and to the left is past.
.
I believe it has to do with the direction of our written language. It might have to do with the clock, except that the clospend half it’s time going left and half its time going right.
.
Just interesting, to me anyway.
.
Meanwhile Forward is a great direction to travel.
.
Obama made good use of the word in constructing his speech to the natin the other night.

@Dredpiraterobt$
Also visually, our eyes are trained to read from left to right.

The Left is right. The Right has been left behind.

@Dredpiraterobt$
It also seems to be going in an uphill direction, instead of downhill, which is where the Romney administration would have taken the country…

Dredpiraterobt$: That’s why I tend to spell the wing as “Reich”, for its resemblance to the three German empire attempts.

There are so many little visuals in this cartoon. Of course Ben Sargent is of the greats (it seems wrong to say “one”)
.
Like the ditches on either side of the road and the straight strong arrow to forward (with the Obama logo) versus the bent and sagging arrow to back. Yes, the hill which symbolizes ascent, assent (both) and challenge.

Shouldn’t he be making a left turn?

Forward is the name of the cliff just ahead.

Yup, we could have gone back… Back to lower unemployment and lower deficit. However, we will go forward down the fiscal cliff. Good job, fat dumb and stupid Americans.

Cliff dead ahead, stage left. Obama’s foot holduing the pedal to the metal.

Sorry, guys, but your Corporate Controlled Plutocracy will have to wait at least 4 more years…

Left is right and Right is wrong.
(Or does that refer to earrings….?)

Thank goodness we don’t have to worry about the Republicans destroying healthcare, closing the EPA, trashing what is left of our education system, etc. Fox News should be illegal — too many people voted for Romney’s millionaire policies.
