Tired of "politically correct?" Want an editorial cartoon that is quick to call out the bumblings of U.S. politics and cuts slack to no one? Pulitzer-Prize winner Ben Sargent is paying attention and making Washington have second thoughts about that little thing called the First Amendment.

It’s having a different effect in every Arab land, and none of it seems to end with kindness to Israel.

Freedoms are not Free. They must be fought for. When you sell your Vote and Creditability for freebies your Freedoms are lost.

Yeah, if that were the intent of the cartoonist, but it’s not.
.
The Arab Spring guy is the guy looking to modernize the Arab world, and the “Free Speech” guy is the guy who is trying to keep the Arab world a theocracy.
.
Ya see? That’s why what he says and what his sign says are polar opposites.
.
Is it starting to sink in now?

Not true, you cannot say “FIRE!” in a crowded Theater when there is not a fire

Let’s talk about the “Russian Spring”. How are things with “Glasnost” and “Perestroika”? Or shall we talk about the “Chinese Spring” – which sometimes leads to 2000 people bashing each others heads in for the stress they have at work. The “European Spring” went pretty good, except that we now see the economic impact of outsourcing inside one giant economic realm and the financial troubles countries can get into. My point is this: IT’S NOT EASY! In the beginning there are always these high-flying ideas (“Liberte-Egalite-Fratarnite”) but then suddenly you have Guillotines in the streets…

Yeah, the Arab Spring has shown that the freedom to own and use “guns” trumps freedom of speech.
