Tired of "politically correct?" Want an editorial cartoon that is quick to call out the bumblings of U.S. politics and cuts slack to no one? Pulitzer-Prize winner Ben Sargent is paying attention and making Washington have second thoughts about that little thing called the First Amendment.

I can not agree with this. Getting tired of the Democrats saying more Govt is good. Seems to me people forget WHY Watergate happened. The President was looking for the proof that the Democrats were (and still are) taking money from outside the US to influence our elections. The thinking here scares me.

Yeah, Mr. Atchinson
Who’s administration is directing the FBI to do a “Watergate” on the Republican Party HQ?
Did you, Ben, forget which party is in the White House? Obviously!
Hoisted on thine own petard, eh, wot?
Hmmm.

And what is your proof that the administration is doing this? Oh, you’re looking at the cartoon and inferring.

sonny1, WHAT? Your statement has nothing whatsoever to do with reality. Watergate is very well established, since durn near everyone involved wrote a book about it. Nixon sabotaged the Democrats using a “dirty tricks” department, had a team which broke into DNC headquarters illegally and got caught, paid hush funds to them, and covered it up, lying to the nation and Congress. Among other things.
Back then, of course, the GOP had some ethical members, who would have impeached even a Republican president for his crimes. Unlike the ones a few decades later.

Don’t call them corporations. Call them job creators.

Despite the Patriot Act I doubt that this president would have the stones to do something like that to the Regressive party.

The GOP has been spreading hatred of the US government for decades, openly and blatantly. Just because they wrap themselves in the flag doesn’t make that any less traitorous. What power do they promote to fill in the vacuum? Not the citizens that elect the government democratically, but the vast, global corporations who are elected by only the tiny elite, and pull all the political and economic power for themselves. It’s time for the FBI to investigate them all for subversion.
