Tired of "politically correct?" Want an editorial cartoon that is quick to call out the bumblings of U.S. politics and cuts slack to no one? Pulitzer-Prize winner Ben Sargent is paying attention and making Washington have second thoughts about that little thing called the First Amendment.

Applies to every birther with whom I’ve been acquainted.

And the irony is that the last Republican candidate wasn’t born in the U.S. either. Kinda points up the hypocrisy of the whole thing.

I believe he is referring to McCain?
Born Coco Solo Naval Air Station, Panama Canal Zone, but I think that counts as being born in the US (obviously).

Naturally, the Birthers have claimed that their complaints have nothing to do with racism. Now that Obama has dealt with their idiotic claim about his long form birth certificate, many of them are just moving the goal posts. (“Did he really get good enough grades to go to Harvard?”)
They are irrational in their fear/hatred of this President, so what is the source of that irrational feeling? Maybe that they don’t like the color of his skin? Seems a lot more plausible than any of the paranoid fantasies they cling to.

Also, hey look, Obama is half white – everybody forgetting that? LOL

I am afraid of Obama’s POLICIES, not the color if his skin.
I would say that we on the right have put the racism claims to the side with his taking the oath of office. A great number of whites were required to put him on those Capitol steps in ‘09.
All the “racism” claims are coming from the left as they seem to be the only ones harping on it continuously!
Suck it up, Lefties, and take “You won” as an answer and move on!

Bill E,
Your argument is a red herring. Birthers aren’t questioning Obama’s policies when they claim his presidency is illegitimate because he’s not an American.
Oppose his policies all you want. That is normal politics.
