Why even try, Earl. Why even try. Goes on deaf ears and you only get platitudes. They will send you a coupon for your next purchase and be done with you.

A psychological ploy. The price doesn’t change but you get less.

Oh the price changes, it goes UP! As the size goes down. I do the grocery shopping. I see it every week, something else gets downsized but costs more.

People I know really should consider more the idea of cooking things from scratch, like fresh vegetables and whole grains. Instead they overeat the packaged stuff, because it is addictive, and then they spend a lot of time dieting and exercising and obsessing about weight.

The packaging stays the same. The quantity goes down.
    Price goes up.

A 454 gr package has gone down 400 grams. Something that used to be 1 kg is now 900 grams.

I get potato chips once every 3-4 months – the large bag has gone from 240 grams down to 180 grams. No change to the price.
