You have to be in her audience to get a sports car.

Years ago I wrote to every cartoonist whose E-mail I could find and told them about my comics archive, over 300,000 cartoons clipped from the newspaper or printed from online

I didn’t have any original artwork and I thought that would be a great thing to include with the archive so I asked each of them if they would like to send me anything to include with my archive

I didn’t dare get my hopes up and I was thrilled when packages started arriving in the mail

The strongest response was from webcomics, no surprise, but a good number of syndicated cartoonists were kind enough to send me goodies

I would be very happy to add an original Beardo

Nonsense! All that car needs are some expensive repairs.

Drawings as a Christmas gift are a great idea even for those who are not the most talented. At the risk of sounding boastful my artistic talents are fully the equal to an internationally famous artist. As you know getting your talents noticed can be purely a matter of luck or circumstance. But I’m on a par with Cecilia Gimenez who voluntarily restored that Jesus fresco on a Spanish church.

I saw “Antiques Roadshow” one time and a guy had an original strip hand drawn “Li’l Abner” that he’d gotten as a boy by writing to Al Capp.
