I like how he looks like he’s going for her mouth with that duct tape in the last panel :-)

A new tree would do the same thing this one’s doing.

Doesn’t seem like the tree is the problem. It looks like they need a new stand.

I can understand part of his position. If you have priced what is available for an artificial tree at this point of the season, you will see that amount you would pay is outrageous. Fotr example I saw a 9 foot tree at the bargain rate of $450.00.

@T_Lexi
You’re welcome.
Also, Beardo, the time to buy a new artificial tree is the day AFTER Christmas (along with cards, wrapping paper, etc).

Surprisingly, duct tape doesn’t work very well on ducts.

I didn’t realize so many people were going to throw their two cents in about the structural integrity of the tree! Ha! Perhaps I should explain: the base and the tree we had were equally at fault for this lopsided story. The pole was dented up enough at the bottom where the base grips couldn’t steady it. And the base was weak.
But you’ll see my solution to this whole mess as the story unfolds! Stay tuned!
