its Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka in the remake…

Actually, Johnny Depp’s version was much truer to the book. There was a very dark side to Willy Wonka that did not show up in Gene Wilder’s version.
Also Gene Wilder was better in “The Producers” and “Blazing Saddles” than in “Young Frankenstein”. ( Although not by much)

I like “Start the Revolution Without Me” the best of GeneWilder’s comedic movies. Brilliant! (Not that he isn’t always.) I like “The Frisco Kid” best of all his work.

The Producers, I say. Though with Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles, that’s akin to the Olympics, where it can and does come to 100ths of a second.

“The Frisco Kid” and “Stir Crazy” were excellent, also. I guess I pretty much enjoyed anything he ever did, especially the Mel Brooks stuff.

Prefer Taco’s version of that classic.

“Young Frankenstein” is still one of the funniest movies ever! “Willy Wonka” always creeped me out!
