Barney -- J. Barnard Pillsbury -- is the billionaire founder and CEO of Pillsbury Pharmaceuticals. Barney thinks he has it all: power, wealth, a pampered existence with a statuesque trophy wife – until he meets Clyde Finster, an intelligent, entertaining (and possibly crazy) street person. Clyde's satisfaction with his circumstance surprises and confounds Barney, whose success in life has been hard-fought and won. For Clyde, Barney's acceptance is validation of a life lived without compromise.

The city provides a rolling cart each for trash, recycling and yard waste
I’ve noticed that as I get more diligent about the recycling the regular trash has gone way down
There is a smaller size cart for the trash that costs a little less, think it’s about time to downgrade

Don’t worry. Big Brother will eventually make sure everyone has the concept.

One time the recycling bin got tossed out into the street when they emptied it and it got run over and split into uselessness.
While a replacement was quickly delivered, it took over a month for them to realize that the busted recycling bin needed to be recycled. They just left it setting by the new one.

@Doctor Toon
I’m with you! We have 3 dogs, 2 horses, 4 rabbits, and about 100 squirrels. I can’t think of anything that goes in the trash anymore.

Maybe the tosser believed Penn & Teller’s “B.S.” claim that almost nothing is worth recycling.

Considering we need to and the ones behind the big unblinking eye don’t like the concept I doubt it.

We’d better make all things we use recyclable or long lasting. We can’t live the same as we have for centuries.

It was so hard not to laugh when my 4 year old layed into my 42 year old roommate for throwing a recyclable into the garbage… 3 years later, the young man volunteers time on his weekends to clean up his school yard. Not a school project, he just came up with on his own it needed to be done.

I roll my eyes when somebody glares at me for putting (say) a used kleenex in the trash instead of the composting, or not putting a dead ball point pen in the recycling, but hey, I’m coming up on 50 years old. More and more, the question of “What should I do with this?” is becoming my default, but I’ll never be perfect. I recycle more than the generation before me, and the generation after me recycles more than I do.

We need to have our whole civilization, whole species geared to recycling and other means to lower our foot print upon this world our savior and space suit.
