Maybe in another two years he might sort of like you, Rosemary, if he doesn’t kill himself first, that is.

Why should Jean-Claude get off so easy? Look at all the years Tom has suffered without embracing the release of sweet, sweet death.

I wish there were subtitles for Jean-Claude.

I think he’s saying “Where are you?” We didn’t do French at school so I’m just going by what I’ve picked up since.

    That’s right.
“Sabine! Sabine! Where are you Sabine?!”
    .
But what I don’t understand is why he is using “vous”, which is the formal form of “you”. Based on what we think we know now, Sabine is obviously someone very close to him that he knows well (intimately?). So he should be saying “Oû es-tu, Sabine?!” in the last line.
    .
Not that I’m trying to be picky!

Maybe Sabine was his travel agent.

I’m surprised they’re not all dead from potassium poisoning by now – they should thank their lucky stars for Beutel, James keeping them alive…of course, he’s also the one who put them here, isn’t he?

now IF Sabine were to have been his amour, it would be “ou est TOI?” (familiar)
