    The Book shelves are done and (if I may say so myself) looking fine, I almost have them filled and yet I still have about half my books left to do…. that means picking another wall in another room and doing it again sometime this summer…lol.

    Are we all going to get muddy footprints on our chests on the way to the Tiki?

    I guess I should wear my apron.

    Oh well, it’s a mark of honor, I guess…
    what will people say at the Safeway in Santa Rosa?

    One of the basic misunderstandings between humans and animals….
    even in a well-assimilated and harmonious place like Ballard County…

    Humans think mud is bad; dogs, pigs and even …yes… monkeys wearing badges tend to think mud is a delightful gift.

    Hurt feelings often ensue.. on both sides.

    “You ruined my dress!”

    “But…. but….
    I made it prettier…

    @SusanSunshine

    Actually isn’t it adult humans that find mud offensive? Kids certainly don’t. My theory is that it’s correlated with having to clean muddy items – clothes, kids, pets, the tracks in the house…

    Personally I think some people take it too far. I knew a mother who chastised her 5 yo for getting his jacket dirty during recess because she would have to wash it that night. Heaven forbid the child wear a slightly dirty piece of clothing. (I think she thought it would reflect poorly on her.) My thought – poor kid.

    I still like playing in the mud and dirt. I call it gardening!
