The new management at the Newport office is clueless. They are pissing off clients, and screwing caregivers. I am being assigned only about 20 to 30 hours a week. Others have been fired with no notice. They are bringing in new caregivers and putting those people into the field without training. They are assigning caregivers to clients without trying to do anything to match caregivers to client needs. Things like sending male caregivers to clients that requested ONLY female caregivers.
And, as far as i am concerned, the worst of it is that they have (at least twice) refused requests for me and the van. I’ll never forgive them for that.
For those that were worried because i haven’t been posting as much, well, this is a major reason. I have had to do the yearly continuing education that is necessary to work in this field, but was also doing a lot more training so i could get into the bosses new agency.
From here on things SHOULD start getting better. And, if they don’t, i can still go to work for the state. They always need drivers that can take state clients to appointments. Mostly for dialysis patents, but for others in wheelchairs as well. I could do well there.
