    I don’t see any irony at all. Freedom means opinions have the opportunity to clash – and the government doesn’t own the TV.

    Irony is that it’s not the government, it’s the corporations who own us. Irony is that some government-owned TV is freer than ours. Once, we had pretty great news, for example. Then the money people got involved, and ot became all about opinions (which are not news). I watch/listen to coverage from many countries, and ours lags far behind in relevance and accuracy.

    Freedom is a messy business and requires personal responsibility. Many in the US are forgetting about personal responsibility.
