Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes. Baldo lives with his parents and works at Auto Y Rod, Inc., selling car parts. Through his daily exploits in the world of girls, cars, and little sisters, readers will learn just how well they can identify with this teen. Writer Hector Cantú and artist Carlos Castellanos have given us a comic strip whose warmth and gentle humor will appeal to all.

Nice head of hair, Cruz. (Baldo sure went Cruz-ing for a bruising; had to get that out of my sistema.)

Apparently Hector D. Cantu and Carlos Castellanos aren’t aware of the rules of touch football. (ok, they probably do know the rules but decided to change them to make the joke work – GREAT WRITING !)

Good thing it wasn’t flag football, Baldo would be naked by now.

Very nice action art. The intensity really comes out.

Cruz should have been named Baldo.

They did not change the rules. The joke was the way Cruz underwstood the rules.

When I was in high school we got a new assitant coach/gym teacher/heatlh teacher (small school) who was a former lineman at the biggest state University. 6’ 4" 230. when winter came around he didn’t care for basketball so we played indoor soccer. For him it was a contact sport. I quickly found out it hurt less to run into him the to let him run into me.

One time I had a math teacher who had played college football. He talked mostly about his football days and I think his brain function was affected.

If The joke was the way Cruz understood the rules, there would be no need for the last frame. Think about it.
