No matter what JJ does, he could never turn A&J into the treacly spectacle that FBOFW was in its last few years.

I know the feeling. I have a niece and a nephew, both of whom are teenagers, that I have never met. My sister turned on the entire family and we haven’t heard from her in over 20 years.

JJ celebrates love that lasts thru the years, new love and fatherhood. He can draw for me for as long as he wants.

One wonders about the motivations of one who detests a comic but reads it every day. As for me, JJ seems to be looking over my shoulder as he writes. A&J has always been a cut above the others, reflective and witty. Not at all like FBOFW, which lost its sense of humor long ago. Today’s A&J advances character development – a little insight into the back-story of Gus, who is routinely as funny as Arlo.
