    Smart cat.
Of course, the other day i found our big guy, Junior, asleep on my chair at the table when i wanted to sit down and eat.
    So i picked him up.
And the chair came with him
I had to unhook each of his claws individually from the cushion.

The spot belongs to the cat who gets there first.

That’s what makes cats so love able to some people.

    Good thinking, Luddy.

I think Mister J. did a nice job of conveying what the cat was thinking he’d like to do (the b&w panels) and thinking out the probable consequnces of it…

I love you like Sheldon loves his spot.

That isn’t how it works at my brother’s house. You move the cat, sit down and than the cat curls up in your lap.

Do the canary test- Put him outside for the night to see if you have a fisher in the neighborhood.

Our cat only sleeps on my chair (there are seven others) so I flip up the cushion. He still sleeps on the bare wood, but he moves fairly quickly when I plop the cushion down on top of him.

But the cat moved, right? Because Luddy seems to be at the end of the sofa by the arm in the first panel and in the middle of the sofa by the last. But Arlo still looks ticked off. Maybe he wanted to take a nap? I often have to come here for interpretation.

Never bite the hand that controls the doorknob.

I hope by ‘fisher’ you don’t mean the weasel-like carnivore of North America. Otherwise I have no idea what your comment means.
