    It’s like a little drip pan that goes around the bottle’s neck, so when you pour, anything that runs back along the bottle is caught so you avoid stains on linens or bare table surfaces when you put the bottle back down.

    If you pour properly, with a slight bottle twist at the end, there’s never a drop.

    That what wives do. You can look at it as micromanaging. I prefer to look at it as looking after the details. When you’ve been married as long as I have you just roll with it.

    I have a couple that I slip over the spout on the tea pot. It’s a sort of scrunchy. But then, teapots drip more than wine bottles.
