From the salmon-colored sofa that is the center of the Arlo & Janis universe, this unique and quixotic comic strip has been just about everywhere. From unvarnished human drama to flights of unfettered comic fantasy, from unabashed pathos to unsurpassed observational wit, Arlo & Janis is perhaps the most unpigenholeable comic strip ever. It also invents new words!
The characters Arlo and Janis have played the parts of mermaids, squirrels, alligators and grasshoppers over the years, all while exploring the unexaggerated human condition and managing to become, with their son Gene, perhaps the most believable family in the funny pages. This unique approach has garnered Arlo & Janis an intelligent and engaged readership and guaranteed that a percentage of it will be confused at any given moment. However, readers eagerly return every day for another quaff from what has been the holy grail for a generation of comic-strip authors: quintessential Boomer humor.

Idiots post garbage on facebook, other idiots ‘like’ it, prompting them to post more, repeat.

I’m with you-I have 19 and that is too many. Just keeping up with distant family members.

I seldom post to FB, mostly I just read what my family has been up to.. I think I have 65 friends but I only actually keep up with about 10 of those, of which only 6 are family.

,,,i only got on fb because one sister said she wasn.t going to email any more pictures – if i wanted to see her photos, she was posting them on fb and i’d need an account. i have 5 friends, (i only added them cause i didn’t know what i was doing) and i’ve never posted anything. if it’s important, i’ll email or call, otherwise it’s nobody else’s business. tmi on facebook, for sure…

It is amazing what some people say on Facebook, and also amazing talk like that is allowed.

@UncaJim
That’s why I’m NOT on FB. I only lasted two months before bailing.

Whatever you post of FB is public domain. Absolutely no privacy. One man found his wife’s photo on a single’s site, where it had been posted without her knowledge. Permission wasn’t needed, because it was “grabbed” from FB. And no, I don’t want an account, thank you.

Anyone know what the source of “speaking truth to glower” is? I’ve never heard this expression before and google is no help.

I really do not care what others are up to and I am not sharing about my own life. So, no FB, no Twitter, no whatever the newest thing is!
