Actually, Plato’s band was called The Young Republicans. Andy could relate to the publicans part.

The thing about Plato is He was alarmingly conforming; like Putty in the Hands of His Heirs, startled.

Andy’s a Philosopher; He believes He’ll have another Beer. Strictly sups just one-at-a-time; that’s called solesupsism.

    Tomorrow is father’s day here
I know it is difficult to buy for men
but I have enough after-shave cologne to fill a bathtub when I only shave once a week and dozens of tee shirts

Amongst other things, Philosophy addresses the phenomena of how our mental state affects perception; Andy is an Optimist.

Opti- mally, find a Pessimist and the Gelt wont be mist.

Good to see Andy engaged in philosophical conversation. It is so much better than breaking Bob’s equipment, not to mention Bob’s person. But, the fight clouds are missed.

I’m sure the burning question Todai is what’s the Kinks view on Philosophy. Well, Ray Davies was into introspection and social observation, albeit a tad anachronistic, He:
“You keep all your smart modern writers
    Give me William Shakespeare
You keep all your smart modern Painters
I’ll take Rembrandt, Titian, da Vinci and Gainsborough
Girl we gotta get out of here
    We gotta find a solution
    I’m a
    twentieth century man
    . . . but I don’t want to die here."
