Now that we have a sort of side by each comparison, I would say that Ooola is looking more like a matching bookend to the verydoubtable Doof.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 21 “Dead To Rites” (50) 3/25/2014 Tuesday

Some hydrogen peroxide was used to ease the removal. It bubbled as it went to work softening the clots. Then cleaned and examined. Afterwards wrapped with an antiseptic medical bandage that is permeated with genetically engineered good bacteria that will protect the wound from inflammation and infection so it can heal the fastest with no scarring.

The Brown Cell Leader (BCL) is most unhappy. Their boss would be displeased as would the chain of command up to supreme chancellor of Luaxana Axel Nasti himself. He doesn’t suffer failure well.
He really treasures his Quebec Republique automated guillotine. A marvel of modern physics and high level machining from its splice mesh blades to its conveyor belt. He likes to use that one on special criminals. Shown on a special channel.

Without the ledger they are blind. “Where is BC5?,”BCL demanded.
“She is at the funeral home looking to find it in the computer hard drive.” BC3 answered him at attention. BC3 is one of the “special ones” who are greatly prized in the Reichz. The Leader is very interesting in cultivating new human powers. Both natural and unnatural. very different from the previous leadership of the old glorious times who would have such people exterminated as they did during World War II. The death of General Gollan was it of the old guard in the 1970’s. Then democracy till just a decade ago…and allied to NATO and the USA behind it then and now.
    -
It is a guillotine design I had in mind for many years. Just came to me one day. And I am against capital punishment!

    Morning, Oopsters.

Doof has the pot resting on two sticks lying on two rocks with a fire between the rocks, heating the pot. But the fire is not burning the sticks.

Good Morning Benders and readers of Alley Oop. The
cooking is worse than I thought. No bronto meat just
Bark, moss, white bugs, whatever road kill there is goes
into the pot. Come to think of it, I’ve never seen a land
dinosaur in Lem . I wonder if they chased them all out
or killed them off. It’s gonna be fun watching Ooola
outwit Doof. “‘This stew is too hot, Can you taste it for me
(with the secret ingredient) to see if it’s cooled down
    and isn’t too spicy.”

yeah.. the Benders never were campers it seems…and the part that amuses me most is the goo that seems to stick to Doof’s ladle and the side of the pot…is THAT edible ?

“Doof, are these flies in the soup?”
“What flies? Anyway, they aren’t the secret ingredient, er … oops!”

This is Ooola’s chance to run

I’m betting the food was edible before he cooked it.

Now is time for Ooola to pull the “I got to go potty act”, and get the heck out of Lem. But it will be cool to see what the secret ingredent will be.

And sticks will not burn as long as the radiant heat is still below 200. (see Treatise on New Found Land of Virginia)
    .
More efficient method is digging a pit, burning some coals in it, then burying pot and coals together a couple hours. You don’t have to keep adjusting the food and sticks.
