Good Morning to all of you.

Well, well, looks like Alley’s on the right path now!

Yesterday’s panel made it look like something zapped him in mid-air. That clears it up.

    Morning, Oopsters.

Oh sure, he just happened to land in the very same thorn bush where Ooola was. Right. Uh huh.

Oola should have gone in the opposite direction.

Yeah, well. It was in the script, ok? Blame the writer.

Good Morning Benders and readers of Alley Oop. The piece
of the dress that tore off was much bigger. I am wondering if
the guards each took a souvenir piece off of it. Thorny cuts
from berry bushes are no fun as a former amateur berry
picker can tell you. It a good thing that Alley’s got a tough
hide on him. Not as bad as I thought yesterday but he still
should take better care of himself (even with a cartoon
    body).

Too bad Jack couldn’t draw Oop landing on a bush well enough for everyone to know that’s what was happening yesterday.

A couple people did guess it right though and it kind of looked like that was happening. Just poorly drawn.

It’s also too bad that Carole portrays Oop as being so clueless most of the time, like acting like he just now discovered that vines hang from trees, then would choose one that would land him right on a thorn bush.

Bear River blackberries will tear the hide right off you. Man they’re good in ice cream, but it’s like loosing a fight with the cat every time you pick some.

There’s some pretty nasty English hedges too. Wonderful fruit! but the main intent is to keep the chicken thieves and local fox hunt off the property.

Course on the English side they put the big ditch called a Haha behind the bushes, or on an uphill slope where you can’t see it until you’re falling in it.

I guess yesterday was a “worm’s eye” view. When he was in the air the thorn bush looked like a tree

The Benders are at the same location as Dr. Wunmus and their strip summarizes true daily happenings almost in real time, delayed only a few hours. Please be patient.
