Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 20 “The Coup in Moo Falls Mainly on Oop”(87) 11/11/2013 Monday

Alley found Dinny and they were off back to where he was found by Wizer and took out that Hairshirt. Dinny was at a gallop, his huge form dashing off, bluish tongue lolling like a giant dog happy to be out and about again.

To be sure Alley didn’t want to be exposed if they are in the air watching for him or anyone. From what Wizer told him he has little time, that there are three and they have already struck down Gib, the old man who was leading them.

above him the Hairshirts were gathering to strike at where Wootietoot’s thoughts have directed them. First rout out any seen away from their stronghold. So it was no surprise that Alley’s mad run was spotted and several Hairshirts, four of them, moved to investigate.

Do the Benders have any concept of how the real world works? A doctor’s office might want evidence of ability to pay but wouldn’t turn down a patient without insurance.

So where are the results of the samples Oop and the Doc brought back? Or is this another loose end from the last story?

I imagine that examination of the samples is just starting.

Also, unless Oop is a patient, finding a doctor who accepts new patients could be a problem and even then, you may get an appointment a week or two away. I’m thinking this may be trying to slip in a reference to the new “everyone must buy insurance” deal. I guess we’ll see.

I imagine that Doc is going to have that doctor’s lab do the examination of the samples at the same time they examine Oop.

In Oop’s condition of having been brought back from the dead, I would think going to an emergency room would have been a better plan than trying to schedule a doctor visit.

Presumably, Doc Wonmug has priveleges that get Oop in with no appointment. I wonder that nobody feels the need to comment on his retro attire, though.

I see Alley’s about to collide with our new laws. No insurance, no appointment? Couldn’t the Doc pay cash?
