    Re: A nice waste of a week or more.

    Yes, it is. Like the previous marathon dialogues, Alley’s monologue with the goat will probably last a few more days.

    Morning, Oopsters.
    Can the Benders ruin this strip any more?

    Good Morning Benders, John Wooley, and readers of Alley
    Ooop. It been great watching Alley do his mind communication with the Mountain Goat who probably will leave him a leaf. Great job Benders! Sadly the entire mountain is now probably denuded of all plants and the continuous rain could cause a landslide onto the town below. Now how to catch a butterfly.

    There is not much mud slide prevention provided by a plant growing on the edge of a rock precipice.

    Come on a growling goat. You can do better than that.

    Yes, please speed the plot up and quit repeating all the daily strips in the Sunday strip. Why have a daily strip at all if it is going to be repeated on Sunday?

    Oop is in character. He knows the difference between a drugged T-Rex barging out of its territory and a hungry ruminant foraging inside territory. People spoiled by electric power and water right out of the tap just don’t put themselves in the animals position. People who survive off the land have to think like the animals around them.

    @H. J.

    This has been explained before. The strip also appears in newspapers. Many people buy the paper only on Sundays, so a weekly recap is provided for them.

    I was on an island hit by a major typhoon. Within minutes there was no drinkable water. The animals went uphill for condensation pockets on the rocks. The natives had stored water the week before.

    The first thing the outsiders did (when they finally got the pumps going again) was to court marshal the idiots who used the down time to wash their cars.
