    Good Morning, out there.

That’s rather topical of you, Doc.

So Global Warming isn’t a recent phenomenon, huh?

No, not really. Any such were regional events.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 19 “The Savage Land of Promise”(41) 7/18/2013 Thursday

Outside dusk is coming, at least as dusky as it can get with a trianary star system in the sky. In this case the greenish yellow primary is below the horizon but the smaller carmine colored star is high in the the sky near zenith, while the indigo pygmy star is at the 10 o’clock position. Certain animals go to sleep while others become more active in the reduced light. True darkness is a rarity on this planet. Very rare. The forest sounds change as well. Less tubas & oboes and more woodwinds an whistles could be heard. As to what are making such sounds, it is unknown.
    -
Alley takes a quick look “out side” in the enclosed “open” area. Through the carbon nano-tube mesh is as strong as steel it doesn’t look that way from the denting. Alley inhales the scents of the forest.
    -
Still strong even though it is about a mile distant. He smells sweet nose itching odors of plants, sour lemon of of predators and many others he has yet to identify. (Where scents are concerned he and most of his people have photographic memories. They are well trained from toddlers onward.) He can still smell a rotting poisonous stink which must be what is left of the forest and its denizens that died under the corporate irradiate and poison warhead. He had been briefed on it and many other things he had to file away to review when he can.
    -
“I’d like to see Section C now.” He tells Snelling who briefly hesitates then begins to direct him to it. Snelling’s bluetooth is telling him that Commander Til is heading that way from Section F.
    -
“Sir,” Crema chirped,“they are coming this way.” She told Mr. Am timidly with a little flutter in her voice.
Mr. Am comes closer and tells her to send them to Section H in the opposite direction. She nods her head and closes her big brown eyes to concentrate on the job. (Her mind is such the she can generate false readings on electronic equipment. Using her mind in ways humans wish they could do so.)
    -
In section E the Bood Alex men find their readings changing and halts the men. They consult with Commander Til who looks and sees the identical readings on every one of the hand held sensors. Something in him said this is wrong but he dismisses it and they about face and start off for distant Section H at a run. He will regret that is decision.

I guess Doc’s approach will be to send Alley back to 1815/1816 to warn governments then to prep for the eruption and its severe aftereffects.

The Doc is supposed to be very intelligent … a man who invented the time machine … not some bumbling moron who ponders inane questions. I’m now convinced that Carol Bender is dead set on destroying every conceit, every character V. T. Hamlin established.

Sadly true. The Benders have destroyed this comic strip. I wish they would hurry up and retire so the Syndicate can hire some decent cartoonists to take over and return Alley Oop to the greatness it used to enjoy.

I have a suggestion for davidf42, quit reading this strip if you don’t like it.

Thank you Skip, I came back to Oop today to make a comment about the stupidy of the "global warming…er…uh…climate change’ agenda. Help me here—- a volcano spews more smoke and carbon dioxde into the air in a day than mankind has ever “produced,” and it causes world wide cooling/ mini ice age. But the releae of CO/2 by burning fossil fuels which plants took out of the air causes global warming? I always told my students to “follow the dollar” when looking at any “study”.
