    Good morning, everyone . . .

Well, it doesn’t look like Doowee’s gonna stick around, at the risk of stating the obvious.

    I like this.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 19 “The Savage Land of Promise”(22) 6/29/2013 Saturday

    Panel One

At the Pentagon’s sub organization nick-named the Pentagon Table, is having its meeting. An Army two star is telling Ms Vashon the hard facts of TLOP and their competition with a better funded corporate neighbor. Dry boring stuff. General Mann was there yet again to fill them in personally on how Op. Yellowlight has been working in conjunction with both beach heads.

    Panel Two

We shall leave them and return to that Savage Land of Promise, TSLOP for short. While the dead jungle is being bulldozed away, the trees and such has turned black and brown crumbling and melting into black goo, there are predators on the periphery watching with hungry red or green eyes. The cabins are armored but the operators, colonists are still antsy about it. There have been some attacks.

    Panel Three

This time it was one of those days and several forest hunters overcame their fear of the noise and ran and jumped into the cleared area and started flailing curved red as porphyry talons and slashing and biting the huge yellow machines. Some paint is scratched off, broken red teeth but leaving scratches in the metal and on the bullet resistant armored glass too. Splashing their purple-black blood on the machines. They don’t last long as the operators move to crush and bulldoze away any of the horrible creatures to the edge to be fed on by smaller vermin.

The DNA poison soon killed them as they laid broken in the contaminated refuse of a once vibrant jungle. (A distant cousin chemically of glyphosate [Round Up] it is many thousand times more powerful and deadly.)
The children, later picked it up from the adults, has taken to calling the planet “Slop.” CIO Walsh at the behest of Dr. Trask has forbade its use. Ration demerits should it be heard. So it is whispered around usually out of ear shot but not all the hidden microphones.

Like I predicted, he’s gone without an explanation of where he came from or why. Maybe he’s running offstage to hang out with the Mayan guy and Lola? LOL Well, this was a nice waste of time….how long did Carole string us along with this diversion, going nowhere?

Oh! Oh! DooWee left those books behind! Wonder what kind of mischief can STILL come from those books. Of course, with luck, theose books will be written in a language which no one in Moo can decipher!

It’s here now. But apparently GoComics is having a number of problems this morning. I had to sign in to get on. Anyone else have that problem?

    And where is Night-Gaunt49?

A great summer heatwave greeting to the Benders and the
readers of Alley Oop. From the smile on Alley face, he seems to know that Doowee couldn’t take the heat. This
2 1/2 month arc of Wizer in prison (from April 15) should be wrapping up in a week or so. Doowee didn’t appear until
the April 22. It’s too bad Wizer is still believing Doowee’s
lies about getting help to rescue him. Alley and Dinny
will have to finish the job. A thought from Doowee’s
mindset. When the going is getting hot, stand on a fallen victim, it cooler and you can then continue on until the
    next sucker comes along.

From one pointless story to the next. Even more reason to write stories with characters that work.
