Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 18 “The Everlasting Man-thing”(1) 3/14/2013 Thursday

    Panel One

Professor Haley has been studying this for some years. Off and on taken up by his daughter in between missions. She deduced that the creature they fought before she came seemed unkillable had somehow incorporated cells from the original into its body where they continued to grow and changed the man formally human. Terrible business that. Comfortable in the Challenger mountain fortress, the original base for the CofU. Now have such bases all over the world and hundreds of employees and challengers. The CofU are investigating and neutralizing problems all over the place. However the one nut they can’t yet crack is Belo Rada. So far no way in or out.

    Panel Two

On a giant flat screen is one of the immortal cells amid normal ones. It has a strange light, some kind of radiance endemic to whatever keeps it going where all others but bacteria can do plus more. A once in a trillion chance happened over 4 billion years ago and still abides now.

    Panel Three

Dressed in the dark purple with yellow stripes like a track suit of the standard Challenger uniform, with a white lab coat over it. (She is a traditionalist) Dr. Haley spends most of her time in the lab, rarely going into the field. The original surviving members of the team are now team leaders. Red Ryan who died yet came back from the grave, ageless and indomitable. She is glad he is in charge of this team from the old Challenger Mountain strong hold. Lots of history here over the years. Ace Morgan, in the Black Hills fortress, and Rocky Davis is in charge of the Asian strong hold in the Himalayan mountains.
(There are many others around the world, all well equipped and staffed with the best and brightest they could find.)

    Panel Four

The giant super storm “Beulah” hasn’t abated yet. She is suspicious of it. Might be partially or totally artificially created and powered. Magus Corinne Stark, their resident occultist expert, has been investigating that storm as well along with three other projects at once.

Oop is either larger or the T Rex shrunk from when Oop was first riding on it’s neck and looked like a flea. Maybe Oop cut it down to size? LOL

I feel sorry for the T-Rex at this point. It was drugged against its will and only trying to defend itself against the aggressive pusher :-P

“Blood is thicker than water.” Wizer is human and a member of the tribe and T-Rex is…well, a t-rex.

Right. This is an outrage. Let’s give PETA a call and see if they cover prehistoric critters.

Just remember at the feast that will result from Alley beating down that poor T-Rex, the meat will still taste like chicken.

Now that’s the Oop I remember. Kudos to the Benders for today!
(Who cares if the T-Rex shrunk!)

Good morning Benders and all. It looks like Alley’s handling of the t-Rex has scared off all of the other dinosaurs that were just hanging around yesterday. His sock seems to have made the rex’s legs sort of wobbly. this is our hero!

Good Morning Benders and reade4rs of Alley Oop Well since Dinny has rounded up and pacified the rest of the
Dinos, Alley is still whacking away at the T-Rex. Having a large boney skull slows down the effects of being hit.
Guz and Wizer leisurely appear when the problem is nearly over and Alley and Dinny have things well in hand.
