    Too bad, Alley.

    Still, who knows?

    Will be the start of yet another story moving further away from those annoying dangling stories left unfinished?

    Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(92) 11/2/2012

    Panel One

    The Outsider in the catacombs under the mansion wandered somewhat listlessly waiting for Brown Jenkin to come and take him away. Only a few small handfuls left of his precious nepenthe. It is obvious that this place had been part of the ghoul warrens and witch dens of centuries past. Long abandoned but taken over by others. Some remnants of both tenants remain, some in a still living state.

    Both such things are harmless to him. Though some of the artifacts he had left for them had certain items he did not want to touch. Items as alien to him as he is to a living man.

    Panel Two

    One of the hybrid things of that mad doctor scurries around him on skeletal legs, more than four with misshapen head and too long body and the longest teeth, even longer than Brown Jenkin’s own yellow fangs.

    Panel Three

    Even the vast and old entity that resides under the house and in the house’s very fabric and extending out some way past it all around won’t hurt him. It can’t even really frighten him. He is just astonished that it is what it is. One of many such things he has seen and met. Some things no ordinary human could ever do and live to tell the tale or lose their sanity over it.

    Panel Four

    Alley smiled at this information. He could tell the Outsider a few things about wonders and horrors in his long experience too!

    Is that the same pterodactyl that stole Guzzle’s crown back when Oop and Lola came to Moo back in December 2011?

    Maybe there’s some kind of mysterious tying up of loose ends here? Naaww.

    @Wootietoot

    I don’t recall the color of the other one. Also these pterodactyls may be attracted to things like that.

    Just looked, yep, a purple one. So maybe that means something as far as tying up something? Someone on that date said it’s a pteranodon, but whatever. lol

    Great! The 2012 end of the world will be caused by a rubber ball and/or cocoa beans brought back in time to prehistory…

    Now I know why Tony Romo has had so many interceptions with the Dallas Cowboys,he’s a descendant of Alley’s.

    Although the artwork still isn’t up to Graue standards, we are seeing some improvement in the Benders’ effort. But still, chasing a ball when we should be tying up loose ends? Let’s see some professional story telling.

    @Logan Sackett

    Logan, the alternate Alley Oop is communicating with an entity who lives in a different dimension. If you go back a couple of weeks you’ll get it.

    The alternate Alley Oop was created because of the great disappointment NightGaunt, and many of the other fans of quality Alley Oop writing, have experienced from reading Carole and Jack Bender’s version.

    The “pter” of pterodactyl comes from “wing”. The “helo” of helocopter comes from “spiral”, making helocopter mean
    “spiral wing”. Or does that make a pterodactyl mean “non-spiral wing”? Oh, the things we have to worry about today.
