    I sense a disturbing force of Deja-Vu

believe it or not, not every newspaper that carries Alley Oop has the Sunday strip and vice versa, hence the recap for the benefit for those whose papers only carry either the Monday to Saturday strip or just the Sunday strip . . .

There are several continuity comic strips that solve the very same problem without boring their readers with such pedestrian repetition. Check out Dick Tracy or Rex Morgan.

Very good response. A good cartoonist can handle the situation without boring the readers to death,

Yes, indeed, teach Alley the lesson that men should be paying attention to which side the strap is on on a woman’s dress. Alley (and most men) need to get those important priorities in order. Yes, indeed. Far more important that the Super Bowl.

A tip that I learned yesterday: If you’re throwing a Super Bowl part have two TVs in two separate rooms: One for men to watch and listen the game on, and the other for women to jabber loudly over about everything under the sun except football.

Who cares what shoulder the straps are on, Both those dresses should be on the floor.

Please, please, PLEASE, get more action in this strip. I will perhaps always read it because I remember the great strips of the 40’s and 50’s, but look at Rip Haywire today. Action in every panel. If Rip’s plotline were in Alley Oop, they’d talk for 2-3 weeks about how they were going to dig him out of the snow.

So that’s the reason I am seeing a repeat performance.

That’s so long ago. How can you remember? My memory is not as good at 87 Years. You must be as old as me.

Sorry but color blind only involves red and green.

well said — it seems that every Monday we have to discuss the benders’ clumsy and lazy way of “re-capping” the glacial developments that occur on Sunday. If they knew how to move a decent action story forward without all the repetitive talk-talk-talk and sitcom silliness this would not be an issue.

Sorry, but that’s only ONE kind of color blindness. Total Color Blindness is, well, total. Everything appears black and white. Partial Color Blindness can be of the Red-Green variety or the Blue-Yellow variety.

Men and women just notice different things. A man was once trying to explain something to his wife and finally said “Women just can not figure anything out!” I responded “Not necessarily – come home sometime with a blonde hair on your shoulder and see how long it takes one to figure things out!”
