I’m a Godzilla fan … and even I can’t watch the old movies without laughing.

Sure, it was just a guy in a rubber suit.
Sure, they just stomped toy trains and such.
Sure, the dubbed English was out of sync.

But it was better than that version Hollywood made.

The Chipmunks? Back when I was a kid, they were three
animated singing rodents. Today they’re three (six counting the chipettes) computer animated singing rodents!

which makes one appreciate Bob Rivers’ “The Twisted chipmunk Song” from Chipmunks Roasting on an Open Fire.

I love the Matthew Broderick performance. I still watch on DVD occasionally. Science wonk and French ‘Secret Service’ make for an interesting mix. The cartoon failed, though.

Most of the old movies I didn’t care for, but some of the Mothra battles were fun.

I really don’t like the 3D animation + live action movies of my beloved cartoons. This recycling of old shows into movies with new technology is getting ridiculous.

The 1st Godzilla movie is great – see the subtitled, original Japanese version, without Ironside. very moody.
