Haven’t seen much evidence that Adam is handy with tools, and we know he runs on the lazy side
The only good thing I can imagine coming from them buying a fixer-upper is that seeing Adam try to fix things himself or deal with contractors could be pretty funny

That was the punchline. You’re restating exactly what Adam is saying in the last panel. To Laura, “fixer-upper” means a house. To Adam, it means a person to do all the work.
