Funny thing! The only arrogant, ignorant racists I know are quilt liberal, and a lot of them are minorities. Are you one?

As if the black organizations would have let my white ass in their groups during my early 80s college days.

MLK took a principled approach. If white-only organizations are bad, then black-only organizations are also bad, so he opposed both. Most so called black leaders of today believe minorities should be allowed to do things that others are not allowed to do. Right is still right and wrong is still wrong, regardless of your skin color.

I was called “racist” simply for raising questions about Obama’s tax policies. (Nutshell rendition: I noted that two of his proposals, if implemented at the same time, could potentially endanger the RV industry. As it’s one of the few industries where the US is still a net exporter, that would be bad.)

Then again, how many whites were just rushing to join black organizations back then,or even now?

So,what do you do when the club you want to join won’t let you in?You start your own. That’s the primary reason why so many black-only organizations/schools exist in the first place. Right or wrong,it was the only recourse available without using the court system. And the legendary SCLC started out as a primarily black organization with MLK as its first president,so,there you go.

The 1964 Civil Rights act was filibustered by Democrats in the Senate for 54 days.
Kennedy and Johnson had to go to the Republicans for support for the Act because their own party loathed the idea.
The idea of bribing a group to get their votes should be hateful. But that is how the Democrats have operated, particularly when the 103rd Congress rerouted 80% of infrastructure spending to “social programs” to purchase votes.
I’ve met or known many Democrats who were casually racist. i’ve never met a Republican who was.
Conveniently forgotten are groups like the Red Shirts, who were an arm of the Democrat party that attacked black Americans and Republicans with guns, machetes, fire, etc.; anything to prevent them from voting.
The psychologists call it projection when someone projects their own attitudes on someone else. That is what happens when the Democrats claim others are “racist” or “sexist.”
Indeed, if anyone here can claim to have been turned down more than 1500 times for work because of gender and race as I have, let them speak now.

The problem is that people treat people of other skin colors differently. When you understand that we are all part of the human race, you’re on the right track.

I have no problem with you opening your own club. I’m just agreeing with MLK that you miss the point if you won’t allow people in because they aren’t black. You can not argue that it is wrong for whites to prohibit blacks if blacks prohibit whites. MLK believed that we should ignore skin color, and he was right.
