I’ve always said you have to get cats or dogs in pairs so they will keep each other company.

    He’s never been a bore
    He will draw some more
    He thinks he’s really great
He puts Cheez Doodles on his plate
    His teacher is a hog
He can not have a dog
His dad is such a goon
    The women will not swoon
    His stupidity never ends
He gets wedgied by his friends
He likes to rake your leaves
Cats are one of his pet peeves
    He is in middle school
    Dogs rule and they drool
    He’s terrible at school
    He’s BIG NATE!

What happened to the dog with the plastic cone over it’s head?

Spitzy is the “pet” to Mr. Eustis, who lets him pal around w/Nate, who has the dysfunctional canine as a “consolation kinda-sorta, sorta-kinda prize” in lieu of Nate’s burning desire to have a “real” dog of his very own.
