I hope Larry got to know his chainsaw very, very, very intimately. In fact, he should take it to heart.

It happens. I’m sitting about 50 yards from a young tree the arborist planted for free after cutting down the wrong one. Later, a nearby tree was supposed to be trimmed, but the office wrote the work order saying to cut it down. It takes about 20 years to make up for this kind of mistake.

All that happened here was that my Beloved heard foosteps on the roof. She looked out and asked why some guys were getting ready to rip our shingles off. We nearly got new shingles at no charge – but I wouldn’t want shingles from a company whose workers don’t know which house to work on. They were supposed to be across the street.

If the arborist cut down the wrong tree, and since it takes about 20 years for a tree to grow, I think the arborist should have planted a much larger tree, one that’s at least 10 years old. Go after them.

The city of Fort Worth, TX demolished a house yesterday. They were supposed to demolish a vacant house down the block.

Would be nice, but trees that large cost a fortune, and we had no desire to put our arborist out of business.

Larrys great-great-great-great-great grandfather had a similar problem with the Sahara forest….
    ….
I was in the hospital for a knee operation..I took a black felt tip marker and on one kneecap I wrote “This One”..on the other “NOT This One!”
