Just visualize the catcher is Zoe when you throw it.

The pitcher’s mound is supposed to be dirt, not grass, but… okay.

Hammie has to remember to let go of the ball when his arm is horizontal.

Let’s see. I think that would be ruled a ball in the Pitch Count, and also a Live Ball in “Game-play”…

I always envisioned those ‘happy faces’ that I wanted to slap on tennis balls. I play a fair game, the dogs enjoy a good chew : )

I think he would be happier as a catcher – you get to wear all that extra equipment and you usually don’t have to throw the ball as hard or as far as an outfielder or pitcher

Hammie looked as though he were either falling asleep, or totally bored with the whole business.

I don’t know Hammie, maybe pitching isn’t the right position for you.

I don’t know why every kid wants to be a pitcher (or their dad wants them to be one). The pitcher may get the glory, but it’s all his team mates that help keep his earned run average low.

Overall, no-hit games are uncommon. According to one source, only 322 officially recorded no-hitters have been thrown since 1876. Of those, only 24 were perfect games.

For an amusing baseball film, watch “It Happens Every Spring,” a 1949 film starring Ray Milland (available on YouTube). It’s about a chemistry professor who accidently invents a formula that repels wood.
