Tear the rest of that sheetrock down. Covering up more Masterpieces of work indeed. Top notch brick masons are hard to find. Lot of slop towel masons but few licensed. My late father was licensed mason from school in Boone NC. He was super talented. Our phone stayed full of messages from customers. He didn’t like commercial jobs because inspectors were dorks who didn’t know how to read blue prints designs/Architectural Designs and hours and often days were wasted on them waiting for catch up before we could move on. And workers had to be paid for time wasted. So he had my mother’s friend to write contract agreement about cost delays had to be paid by design company. Rain, or whatever – we got paid. Our work was seldom delayed. Dad didn’t like “ex-spurts.” I could lay one brick or block for his two. He worked till 83 and cancer stopped him. Army 1940 – 1945. 6 battle campaign medals WW11. From Africa/D-day- Italy – Germany. Age 89 he moved on to Heaven. Mom was 89 when she flew home before dad. She taught school 39 years and also a pilot.
