Remember back in the 70s I was able to afford a apartment in San Leandro, CA on enlisted Navy pay. Not a chance today.

Obviously, Sir Dudly hasn’t checked California real estate prices lately.

I’m just glad I bought my house in Florida before the Wall Street people began buying up houses for Rental property and ran prices up through the roof.

In the 12 years I’ve lived here, prices for houses in this neighborhood have more than Tripled.

A few years back, the house next door had a “For Rent” sign in front. I got curious and checked the agent’s web site. Rent for that house was twice my mortgage payment. For the same size house.

As compared to 2 rooms, without a view…
