As concerned as I am about the plight of women in Afghanistan, I am very cynical of the far right (including some who post here) suddenly crying crocodile tears about those poor Afghan women, while opposing the resettlement of Afghan refugees (or any other refugees) in the US, opposing a woman’s reproductive rights, opposing the simple and common sense equal rights constitutional amendment, healthcare as a human right, affordable child care for working women, aid to single parent families (most of which are headed by poor women) and other women’s rights issues.
Start showing some concern for women in this country and maybe then you can be taken seriously when you moan about women in predominantly Moslem countries.
