I think if teachers are asked to arm up and protect against active shooters, they will probably quit the profession, and join the army instead; the pay is better, the medical coverage is better, and the other benefits Much better than what a teacher gets. If one is being asked to go on the firing line, one may as well get the combat pay for being there.
