For some reason Boris has been pegged as some sort of UK equivalent of a far right wing nut in the US. He’s actually a moderate. He’s also quite smart. In idealogy he’s much more of a Churchill than a Thatcher. That being said, he’s 2 things that some people dislike. He’s a politician and he’s a bit if a weirdnik. He’s not a crass as Trump but he can be thin-skinned. And look at his stupid hair. Put some gel in that mop and use a comb, or something. You look like a loon.
Brexit is what the people voted for. This election was their opportunity to undo that binding vote by voting in a different weirdo. Weirdo #1 trounced weirdo #2, which in part indicates that opposition to Brexit isn’t as strong as some of you seem to think. I say “in part” because no election is decided on a single issue but it was far and away the biggest one. Don’t underestimate the voters…they are aware that Brexit is going to cause pain but enough of them are willing to endure that in the shorter term for what they believe is a better future for the UK.
